Family Ministry and Hillside Sanctuary

Family Day and Baptism (April)

Last April, we had a summer family outing for our two ministry areas in Inarawan and Calawis (Antipolo City). During the first part of the day, we had a worship service, praise and worship time, and water baptism. Then, we continued with swimming, karaoke, grill time, food fellowship, and playing different kinds of sports like badminton, volleyball, and basketball. It was a fun-filled day were everyone can get to know each other more as we continue to grow as a family in God!

Sports Ministry

As part of the holistic development in the community, we had organized special sport ministry events where the young people can have meaningful sport activities during their free time. It helps them to be physically fit, build relationship with their friends, develop their skills in sports like basketball, practice teamwork, have a positive influence in their community by being a salt and light for Jesus!

Hillside Sanctuary – Family Camps, Prayer, Pilgrimage Walk

We have organized different events in the Hillside Sanctuary Farm and Retreat place located in Barangay Calawis, Antipolo City. We had a family camp where we spent two days in prayer, studying the Word of God, having fellowship with one another in nature.

Then, we had another family camp where we did hike to the nearby waterfalls, and learned about the Philippines martials arts called Arnis, which uses two wooden sticks.

In addition, one of the things that we do in our place is the Pilgrimage Walk, which is a time of silence for those who are tired from the busy city lifestyle. It is a time where we ponder on a biblical passage, walk together listening and reflecting on what God wants to speak to us. We experience the simplicity of life and get to appreciate God’s wonderful creation with nature.

We are also learning more about vegetable farming, and we are able to plant tomatoes, chilies, squash, a local spinach called alugbati. We are hoping that we would be able to share the skills that we are learning to be able to share in the community as a livelihood.

Thank you for your prayers and support! More updates coming soon…
